Covid-19 Vaccinations – March 30, 2021 Press Release by the One Bermuda Alliance

By March 30, 2021March 31st, 2021No Comments

The One Bermuda Alliance would like to recognize the tireless work of all the healthcare professionals over the last year in the care of patients with COVID-19 and the distribution of the vaccines to our residents.

A year ago when COVID-19 emerged, the global response of shelter in place was implemented to reduce the strain on the healthcare system whilst the vaccine was being formulated and produced. Thanks go out to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and our Government for supplying vaccines at no charge to our residents.

Bermuda has 25% of our population fully vaccinated and 32% have received the first dose of the vaccine. The current medical recommendations for the prevention of COVID-19 is to get vaccinated, to continue to physically distance, stay away from large gatherings, wear a mask and wash your hands frequently.

If you have questions about the vaccine and whether vaccination is right for you, we encourage you to speak with your physician directly.

When sharing information with family and friends about vaccination, please consider the source that it is coming from. Is it from a reputable source such as the World Health Organization, CDC, or a leading Government agency?

Together, we can reach herd immunity and help protect those in our community who are unable to take the vaccine due to underlying health issues.
