About the Act
Bermudians living, working, or studying abroad currently cannot vote in our elections. The Absentee Voting Act 2025 aims to change that.
This Opposition Bill would allow Bermudians who are ordinarily resident and registered to vote in Bermuda to participate in general elections and by-elections when they’re temporarily outside the country – whether for work, education, medical treatment, or other reasons.
