Happy International Women’s Day!

As we  celebrate International Women’s Day 2023, with the theme of “Women Supporting Women,” we must also celebrate the undeniable strength and resilience of women. especially when they support one another.

This year’s theme is not just a slogan; it is a movement that has the potential to change the world. When women come together, to support and lift each other up, amazing things can happen. Women have always been there for each one of us and for each other, providing support, guidance, and encouragement.  For example: Maya Angelou, the late poet and author was a champion for women’s rights and a mentor to many young women writers, Sherly Sandberg, the COO of Facebook who has been a strong advocate for women in the workplace, supporting and mentoring other women and launching initiatives to promote gender equality, Malala Yousafzai, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate is a powerful advocate for girls’ education and has supported other young girls in their fight for education and gender equality and Serena Williams- the tennis champion has been a vocal advocate for gender and racial equality, and she has supported other women in the sport, including mentoring young players and advocating for equal pay. These women and many others like them have used their positions of power and influence to uplift and support other women, demonstrating the power of women supporting women.

When women are empowered, they can make significant contributions to their families, communities, and workplaces. They can create positive change and make the world a better place for all.

So, on this International Women’s Day, let us celebrate the power of women and applaud their incredible contributions.  I encourage you today to let a woman who has made a positive impact on you, know that she is valued and appreciated.

In closing, let us celebrate the incredible women who have made history and paved the way for future generations. As we acknowledge their achievements, and remember their struggles, let us also remember the women who are still fighting for their rights and work towards creating a world where their dreams can come true.

Thank you, and Happy International Women’s Day.
